Crock pot hot chocolate

This healthy hot chocolate recipe is so delicious and only takes 1-2 hours in a crockpot. Make it just after lunch and everyone can enjoy a delicious mid afternoon pick me up without the sugar crash and burn later.

Ingredients

  • 3 cans or 5 cups of milk of your choice

(almond, coconut, oat, soy, dairy etc…)

  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

  • 4 Tbsp honey or pure maple syrup

  • 4 Tbsp good quality unsweetened cocoa powder

  • Good pinch of salt

Directions

Combine all of the ingredients in the crockpot and whisk until mixed thoroughly.

Cook for 1-2 hours on high, stirring occasionally to break up any cocoa powder lumps.

This recipe can also be cooked on the stove top, simply whisk well until almost boiled. Don’t let it actually boil as the milk will burn.

Enjoy this velvety smooth chocolate drink. Serves 8.
